Man charged in sex assault
Austin police have arrested a man they say sexually assaulted a woman after following her from a downtown club.
Ronaldo Velasquez, 24, has been charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, court records show. He is being held in the Travis County Jail on $50,000 bail.
About 2:25 a.m. April 25, the woman left a nightclub on Sixth Street and was walking to her car on Second Street when she noticed Velasquez following her, an arrest affidavit said. Velasquez grabbed her from behind, pulled her into a field near Second Street and assaulted her, the affidavit said.

Fugitive arrested in Kansas
A Williamson County sex offender wanted since 2003 for violating terms of his probation was arrested Friday in Kansas, Williamson County District Attorney John Bradley said.
The U.S. Marshals Service and the Kansas Highway Patrol arrested Kenneth Lewis, 51, at a truck stop in Olathe, Kan., Bradley said.
