Appellant was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. On appeal, he requests that this court review whether the trial court properly determined whether certain officer personnel records were or were not discoverable under Pitchess v. Superior Court (1974) 11 Cal.3d 531 ( Pitchess ). We conclude that the trial court did not err in its resolution of appellant's Pitchess motion. Thus, we affirm the judgment in its entirety.
FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL STATEMENTOn April 17, 2008, the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a Kern County residence. When there was no response to the knock and notice that they were serving a search warrant, team members forced the door open and entered the residence. Appellant fled the residence through the back door. Kern County Sheriff's Deputies Jose Sanchez and Michael Bonsness pursued appellant on foot. Appellant was apprehended and placed under arrest. During a search of appellant's person, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was found on appellant.
